The “Optical” Series

The Optical Series began as a focused experiment in 2012. The Original Idea was to create an object that could hold the complex imagery of my previous work within a truly three dimensional setting. To accomplish this, I had to design elements that would “float” inside the piece that would be attractive from every angle of viewing. I started to turn to natural inspirations. This effect is amplified by the lens like effect that naturally comes with working with solid glass.
